A corrupt politician orchestrates his own fake assassination to gain sympathy. However, someone else beats him to it, and Nandu, hired to wound the politician, is mistakenly framed for murder. Nandu goes on the run and meets Pardhu, a man returning home after a long absence. In a tragic turn of events, Pardhu is killed in a police shootout meant for Nandu. Nandu then assumes Pardhu's identity and finds himself entangled in a romantic relationship with his new "cousin".
