A desperate Neanderthal, Ao, sets out on a perilous journey from the North to the South after his clan, including his wife and infant daughter Néa, are brutally slaughtered. His ultimate goal is to reunite with his twin brother, from whom he was separated at the tender age of nine. Along the way, he crosses paths with Aki, a Homo sapiens woman, and their paths become forever intertwined.
